Cherishing our heritage...
Since 1885, Pinkel Funeral Home has provided a caring and discreet service to grieving families within a community we have come to accept as our own. Today, these very same values and traditions continue. Hence, every effort has been made to retain the historic design, structure and sentimental mementos of the building, which was constructed in 1849 for the Farmer's National Bank. It is a charming landmark, treasured by us and other local citizens.
Years of experience...
Pinkel Funeral Home is guided with professionalism and compassion by president, Peter P. Horvath who is a prominent and experienced figure in funeral service and community efforts. Mr. Horvath's credentials speak for themselves: 1991-1992 President of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award from the Wallkill Valley Rotary Club, member of the Sussex-Wantage Regional Board of Education and the Sussex Board of Health. Mr. Horvath has consistently demonstrated his concern for others through community and church involvement.
Peace of mind...
Although we might have improved our facilities, we have not changed our role within the community. Not only do we offer the most comprehensive funeral service in days immediately following a death in the family; we are also continuously available whenever you need us. We answer any questions. We also work with you in planning a meaningful and appropriate service. Specific requests can be honored, as well as special religious and humanistic arrangements.
Conveniently situated...
We are closely located to most churches and cemeteries. This has proved convenient to families and friends during difficult times. There is parking right next to our building. Do not hesitate to call. We are always available to extend ourselves - day or night.
At a time of mourning, you need all of the comfort and care you can get. Pinkel Funeral has been designed to offer every available convenience. Soft and soothing decor, along with spacious chapels and sitting areas, create a comforting atmosphere.
